Both Lancaster Bombers flew by today over the Thwaites Brewery sites, they have an ale named Bomber and sponsor the aircraft.

I went to see them at the "Avro Bomber Meet" with Vulcan XM558 at Waddington. Up close & personal they even smelt good when they started up! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I'll see your two Lancs & raise you a third - today, the two flying examples over flew a third that is not airworthy but ran it's engines & taxied at the Lincolnshire Air Museum. Twelve Merlins, mmmmmm. I was lucky emnough to see the two flying Lancs a couple of weeks ago when they flew over a friends house. From a time when dinosaurs weren't just confined to zoos! |

They flew over brighouse while I was in the garden. Brilliant site, great sound too. Not something you see every day. There was a 1940's weekend in brighouse earlier this year and there was a fly past by a spitfire, another great sight and sounded great too.
