Tyre advice please...

Hi all,

So not actually for the freelander but the wifes Suzuki Grand Vitara. I'm stuck between either a Dunlop all season 'grandtrek touring' or the Michelin Latitude Cross.

The car does a small amount of off road and needs to get out on non treated single track roads in the winter.

Has anyone got any experience of these? any thoughts welcome.

Cheers
Paul.

Another vote for the Grabber GT. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

ah okey dokey - thanks chaps. they seem pretty well priced aswell. I'm assuming from reading a few sites the AT is more off road orientated?

anymore for anymore?

I was going to have the grabbers but had the lattitude Cross in the end and been very pleased on and off road.

Sorry - another quick question on this - how are the grabber gt's in winter? (don't want to get into the debate of winter tyres vs normal - I understand that, just don't have budget or storage for 2 sets)

Running latitude cross AT for wet and winter and green lanes with Pirelli Verde for road use
Recommend the latitudes for great all round use, hard wearing and very good on Tarmac as well as slippy stuff

I had grabbers on my D3 last winter and they are also very good
I would say either will do the job perfectly well - FL2 3.2 i6 - There is no Replacement for Displacement

If my wife ever sells my stuff for what I told her I paid for it, there will be some bargains out there!

Final question! Grabber gt's and £9 per corner cheaper than the grabber at's.

For the small amount extra is it worth getting the at's? Will they be better when it gets slippy?

not sure about the gt vs AT handling, but the ATs seem to have a bit of a cult following, maybe its the sexy tread pattern! - FL2 3.2 i6 - There is no Replacement for Displacement

Thanks a lot for the offer Andy - I went for the Grabber GT's in the end.

So far happy - only had to deal with a small quarry adventure and tarmac up to now though.

I am considering a set of 4 19" too. I will hardly use the car for off road but considering winters around the corner.

I am using the Conti UHP atm, any suggestions ?

any discount for the members buying tyres anywhere?

Cheers! Freelander 2 XS MY 2012, 19" rims, Barolo Black. Privacy glass, spoiler.
