Mobile phones

Ok someone was on asking about mobiles recently so here's my experience......

I had a Nokia N95 that was partially compatible with the hands free in the FL2. You could make calls and answer with the steering wheel buttons, but not access the phonebook or recent/missed calls list. When you switched off the engine mid call it cut off the phone from the car and reverted it back to the phone.

Just got a Sony Ericsson K850i (for the car!) and it is fully compatible, everything works from the steering wheels buttons, and if you switch off the engine mid call it holds the call on the car speaker until you take the key out, which is quite handy.
The only prob is that folk I've called from the car say it can be quite echo-ey but that is maybe the phone being too close to the speaker and picking up what I am saying.....

Now all I have to do is sync my new phone up with my mac........ Whistle

My W880i that I bought just before I got the car was paired at the delaer when I got the car and I have not had to do a thing with it since. It has every feature, even those which LR suggested were not supported such as voice dialing.

Soem have said that they can't hear me when I am driving at high speed (150km/h +), but I think that is mainly from the airco being on full blast and me simply speaking too quietly, which has become the norm in the LR2!
