cruise control issues........and my missing knob......

ok over the last month or so my freelander 2 has been playing up in the cruise control department some times it would work some times it wouldn't and the nothing at all.......so under warranty off to land rover Crawley for this and to see about the lumber control knob that i found laying in the drivers footwell ....the knob clearly broken not sure how as i didnt even know it existed...i did ask if it would be replaced under the warranty but no and at a hefty 」4 i decided i would pay out....any how i picked the car up and the cruise control is sorted some thing to do with a wire in the steering wheel ..and i notice NO KNOB at all ok the replacement was to be ordered in (which it hadn't)...but i cant see what gives them the right to remove from my car a 」4 broken knob from my lumber control it may be broken and of no use ....so a phone call and the nice chap on the desk will replace it FREE OF CHARGE....
