Aye Badger, the Disco 4 is a great car but a beast in terms of weight, cost and complexity. Whole of life running costs can only be cataclysmically huge. Its the way to travel for those who lease and swap every few years with the employer picking up the tab or at least paying one sufficient megabucks to fund it. All the gadgetry makes it great on and off road despite the weight but it has moved far beyond the reach of a large section of the previous Disco market.

That part of the M6 between Stoke and Sandbach seems to have more than it's fair share of accidents, particularly outside daylight hours. Whether it's because there is no carriageway illumination on that stretch I don't know. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |
