Leave the plastic bits on, the lugs on the ends line up with the receiver in the heater body. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8

Lucky I left them on then Had a go at it yesterday, went in ok and I think I got it the right way around as it fitted nicely, this filter was much stiffer than the one I took out which just flopped about so made it much better.
