Remote control window opening

Ok so you probably know this already but in case you don't - your remote control on your key fob will open all the car's windows if you hold it in for a few seconds after initially unlocking the door. Mine has quite some range on it (about 50 meters I reckon) Very nice in all this hot sunny weather we have been having to let the car cool down a bit as you walk back to it Rolling with laughter

For the addicted gamblers, you can place your bets on each window and see which opens/closes the fastest Rolling Eyes

This works on lock as well.

Hold the lock button down for about 3 seconds and all the open windows will shut (but not the sunroof!)

What a clever car!

Cheers

Does the one touch work on the drivers window? If not it need resetting or the window channels lubricating with silicon, and then it may work from the fob Thumbs Up At work

Sounds like a little (AndyC) moan that Laughing But yes quite agree Thumbs Up the BMW sunroof opened & closed with the windows from the key fob Thumbs Up But the FL2 operates from a much greater distance Thumbs Up

Windows on mine open and close at the same time and speed - no difference at all, but the drivers mirror has become a little squeaky on warm days Shocked 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

First make sure the one touch windows are working and if not reset them and then try again. Worked on mine from day one. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Gambba, thank you for the response. I did some checking and this is not available on North American LR2's Sad Most likely an over sensitive car safety regulation...? Kinda bummed as the function is cool as well as useful. 2008 LR2 SE - Baltic Blue. Roof Rails and Cold Climate Pkg.

it maybe something that a bloke with a laptop could switch on, Idea

I think they use autologic, if you can find somebody over your way, maybe a independent service center.

Might be worth asking or looking into it, I doubt a LR garage would do it Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I would go with what NP has said, as mine is basically a US spec LR2 so expect it is just a setting taht can be altered.....however it may be blocked out through a region setting or something similar. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!
