Front Wheel Arch Trim Lengths

Quick question about wheel arch trims. I had my trims replaced by the dealer before I bought the car but I have just realised that although the rear ones go all the way round the arch the front ones only go half way up, if you know what I mean. So the front of the front arches are unprotected.

Is this normal? I would have expected them to go all the way from one end to the other. Upon inspection there is a wee bit of the arch that seems to have raised itself. Looks like bent metal rather than rust. Not sure if that would stop the dealer putting the trim all the way round...

Yep normal, you would expect them to go all the way round but they don't.

Thank you.

Still seems odd though.
