New walking shoes

It was high time I invested in a new pair of waterproof walking shoes. Typically worn whilst walking the dogs for about 80% of the time. I already have some proper walking boots for when it really lashes it down and they are better for autumn time anyway.

I decided to invest in a pair by The North Face having been very pleased by these winter boots I bought 2 years ago (in black): http://www.e-outdoor.co.uk/441110/products..._boot.aspx

Here are the new one's I went for (in blue): http://www.e-outdoor.co.uk/440658/products...shoes.aspx

Proper TNF like those winter boots are fine. These are fairly run of the mill with Gore-Tex lining and that style of shoe is no use in heavy rain as I found out with my last similar pair by Merrell. If the rain gets heavy, I break out the big guns and waterproof trousers.

They should be very comfortable for my needs and proof enough for reasonable rain.

To be honest, a lot of the price is in the name. TNF is a big brand image in outdoor clothing, similar to what Nike and Adidas are to sportswear. Not suggesting they are the best at all, but I like their style and products.

There is no definitive 'best' just people's opinions based on experience of products I guess. Very Happy LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
