Well, day three of F2 ownership and I have my first challenge!

My passenger dooor mirror (power fold) swings back and forward and is not engaged with the drive motor. I can get it to lock but it is now 90 degrees out. When folded it is in the normal position, when unfolded it swings (and stops) towards the front of the car!!

Cant figure out what to do, my guess is something is broken inside (a stop maybe?)

Any sugestions?

Try getting hold of the mirror and pushing it all the way forward to the front until it is parallel to the wing, then pull it back to its normal position, you will hear it click, don't worry your just resetting the mechanism.

Still not working. Pushed forward which made it very loose. The motor in the mirror runs but it does not move. After some fold/unfolding back to square one.

The best I have managed is to get it to fold closed, then open, but it seems to go too far forward and the motor continues to run on.

Should it be so loose you think it is going to come off the arm? it will go back after a fashon but then I can#t get it to open correctly.

Technology....great whist it works!

Don't think its serious, you just need to reset the mechanism

Still a great car, I joked when I collected it on Friday about what would go wrong and when, I just did not think it would be on Monday morning!

Yes I can see how that would be the case. I guess I just do not have the knack of re setting it yet, dont suppose this will be the first or last time.
