Had a problem with the fuel flap so car into garage for a Fuel Filler Cap Housing @ £21.14 plus VAT and labour. Garage called to say that they could only select 3rd gear had I noticed a problem? in short no it was driving perfectly when I dropped it off!

The mechanic discovered that the Gear Selector had snapped off at the weld allowing the selector lever to spin freely without selecting any gears apparently Landrover are aware of the problem but the unsuspecting buyer is not!

Replacement part cost £156.00 + VAT labour was 5 hours @ £52.50

I only went in for a quick £21.00 fix!
