Black Badge Fail. Very Disappointing...

Bought this set a while back - i'm sure many of you have done the same. I went to the garage this morning and noticed that the out layer of the rear badge had fallen off - very disappointing given the cost!
Anyone else had this issue?

A frayed knot.
But water can and does get behind them and can affect the glue, hence they can fall off, not good as you say.
You could stick it back on using some of the clear bonded windscreen sealer this will then hold it secure and also prevent water being able to get behind it in future.
Most things like that happen in winter though when water gets behind something then freezes and pushes it off.

I have the stick-on gel type. Don't look as good but haven't fallen apart either! Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

They can't be genuine badges from a dealer as the black badges were orginally made for the Old Supercharged RRS which which had the standard size LR badges. LR never made the oversized badges available in black bud! MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I have indeed - the seller confirmed today. He asked me to send the back, back to him. Eventually he confirmed he prints them locally in the UK onto original back plates.

He is sending me another in exchange for my green one... least i'll have two.

I glued the broken one but its a little obvious at side angels..
