Hi guys, i have a 2013 (oct) xs manual, for what its worth. On four occasions, since october there has been a burning smell (not oil or clutch smell) coming from the engine bay, which is stupid hot. Also there is smoke as you stop but this soon dissapears. The temp gauge is spot on too.......any ideas?. Each occasion is after short ish journeys....summer and winter conditions....... 2007 HSE, Auto, silver...gone but never forgotten.

DPF regenerating I would say

That was my first thought too - I had a diesel Golf that did the same, DPF regen where it pumps raw fuel into the exhaust even when the car is switched off and it stunk like someone trying to light a barbecue with too much barbecue fluid! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
