Actually, here's a question. My understanding is there's little you can do "properly", without having a torque wrench, to ensure everything is tightened correctly. Does Tha set include one? Doesn't mention it in the specs certainly, unless I'm misreading it.

I would recommend the 150 piece Hanford pro set which has a lifetime warranty. Plenty of decent torque wrenches on eBay. The set will allow you to the majority of basic maintenance tasks I'm sure.
Apart from the forum look a u tube it's a great source of info and has many FL2 'how to' videos
Most basic tasks such as discs, pads, power steering fluid changes etc are very similar to other vehicles so also a good reference point

My ten pence worth of advice, being a self taught, father mechanic shown amateur for 30 years is
Safety first, research, preparation, have time to complete the job, right tools for the job, and buy the best quality parts and tools you can afford

Thanks, I should really check out YouTube for vids as I was surprised at the lack of maintenance videos on this forum.

Get a "clickable" torque wrench. Much easier to use than the "bendy with pointer" type. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.
