Throttle body

I am on holiday in France, yesterday the freelander started making strange clicking noise when engine is turned off.
But thanks to this great forum I was able to diagnose the fault to stripped gears in the throttle body.
I have dismantled the unit and removed the main gear, reassembled it without the gear untill I get a replacement when I get home.
The only difference that it has made is that the engine judders slightly when turning it off.

Interesting - were the clicks loud and how old is the car. Mine clicks / rattles now and again afer shutdown (30-40 secs after) and the dealer says its OK. Mines done 10000 miles and is 11 months oid !

car is 4 years old, clicking (gear grinding noise) quite loud very noticable started happening every time I switched off.

Mine went at 34000 miles and 4 years old. I became slightly noisy and when it went altogether it sounded like a marble in a tin can LAND ROVER FREELANDER 2 TD4e GS
