thanks for the response. I also think it was the wash, but would like to check the drains anyway. I have discovered they are located somewhere above the B pillars which is not easily accessible as the sunroof obscures access. So any tips on reaching these would be appreciated.

If i remember correctly i used a stool to stand on with the sunroof open and there were drain holes in the plastic surround under the glass,it's been a year since i did mine though. |

Had a look but couldn't see anything. I assume any water getting past the outer wind seals is supposed to sit in the plastic trough & either drain out forwards at either side or further back, down the elusive drain holes. I guess if the inner seal is good enough the drain holes are unnecessary?
