My freelander 2 insurance claim could have been confusing!

My wife and I recently went on holiday to Hastings....we travelled there separately

My wife drove down a few days earlier than me and she took her old car (freelander 2) which is now my registered car but she is a named driver on my policy to drive it.....later in the week I drove down in my wife's new car which is registered in her name and I'm a named driver on her policy.....on the way home we followed each for the entire 170 mile journey, it crossed my mind how messy the claim could be if we had crashed into each other!

If she had crashed my car that she was driving into her car that I was driving then I would have to claim of her insurance for my car that was her old car......if I crashed her old car that I was driving into her new car then she would have to claim against my insurance for me crashing her old car into her new car....if she had crashed into me would it be out of order for me to claim whiplash against her policy

Luckily my wife and I didn't crash as it would have been a little awkward to say the least Black FL2
