No Sunroof option

Tried to buy a new SE Tech with sunroof this week and been told dealers cant change electric options on new models anymore, so it is not possible to buy a new SE Tech with sunroof. Gutted, I realy was looking forward to a vehicle with sunroof, and think the white freelander with privacy glass and sunroof looks good.

Anybody know of any other ways of getting one? I'm getting it converted to commercial spec.

How important would you rate your sunroof, does it realy make the cab look a lot lighter? I will be going for the almond interior.

2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Lago Grey

I've had my 2010 HSE about 3 years and opened the roof maybe 1/2 a dozen times. Yes I have the "mesh screen" back sometimes in the winter, but then I've a full black interior. I wouldn't worry about it, just enjoy the car. I love mine and still would without the glass roof.

I have the sun roof on mine and to be honest I don稚 even use it I use the climate control, yes i do pull the mesh back now and again for the extra light in the cab as my interior is black with black leather, as said above I cant see me using the sun roof at all!

Same here. Probably only used the sunroof a couple of times, and not for very long.

Too noisy. Steve

As above. Even in Winter I have it tilted...currently, it's always right back (fly screen is blocked with dead bugs mind you!) Foraging near Gaydon....

Well, confirmed I cant have the sunroof, so decided to spend the money on metallic red paint and roof spoiler (no comments!)
I think I would have used the sunroof like the last 3 posters, grew up in South Africa with vehicles with no air con, so open windows and arm out of window. My weekend car is a 1993 Corvette, I only drive it if I can take the roof off. (Have not tighten the roof bolts in 2 years)
Now just for the wait, but guess it wont be delivered until middle September.

Having specced it with the spoiler is a good move, the rear doesn't look right without the spoiler. Thumbs Up
