Selling a car with Winter tyres in Summer.

Anybody know if this is lawful?

I recently saw a few FL2's at my local JLR with Winter tyres. I thought there was something in not driving on Winter tyres all year round due to the differences in rubber compounds making it a dodgy thing to do. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends

I don't think its an issue. Ive seen a few posts on here were people use Vredestein winter tyres all year round with no problems. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Come to think about it, i've driven a VW T3 campervan on Winter tyres (It came with them already fitted when I bought it) and without any issue. Higher rolling resistances/ fuel economy aside, perhaps it's not as big an issue over here than it might be in eg.Scandinavian countries where they seem to have a wheel-based solution for almost everything, so over here it's maybe more of a minor technicality.

I suppose if franchised dealers don't have an issue with it, why should I? I bet there are threads full of this subject on Advanced Driving forums. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends

It's not illegal to drive with them all year round can't be illegal to sell a car with winter boots on Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
