I suppose the other choice is to see if I can add a boot standard LR sub woofer to the GS system?

I think the LR sub has a optical cable that plugs in the the sat nav unit under the drivers seat. I6 WITH GAS CONVERSION

I am hoping to fit a standard active sub if I can, just not sure where to connect it. Don't want to start pulling out wires unless I know what I am doing.

Fitted active subs before but not on such an integrated system

Need to buy the sub, not sure yet, Probably an 8" active such as Alpine, Pioneer or similar, if anyone knows best way to wire in I would appreciate advice.

My previous alpine could either wire from RCA at the back of the HU or from a splice in the speaker wires. I used the RCAs but not sure whether the standard GS system has RCAs?
