I got home from work two days ago and my car lost power in 2nd and 3rd gear and idled with a fluctuating rhythm. I called up Landrover and booked it in for a diagnostic. They have come back saying that they need to replace the Throttle Body and that the MAF maybe at fault. I have disconnected the MAF sensor plug and it runs fine now. I have to drive to the airport tomorrow with kids to go on holiday. Can anyone tell me if it is safe to drive and is likely that it is the MAF that is at fault or the Throttle Body? |

Thank you it is booked in under warranty for the 9th September to have the Thottle Body replaces and then maybe the MAF if that does not cure it. Thank god it is still under warranty |

I was also wondering if you knew about The Throttle body Fault they have diagnosed. Do you think it is unsafe or likely to breakdown. All I need is to get to airport!!! |

Not sure on the throttle body but hopefully someone else will shortly be along with the answer. |

I think you may be right but it does sound like a maf fault or one of the sensors connected to it. |
