Newbie here, after looking around for a few weeks we took the plunge and ordered a new freelander 2 from guy salmon at Wakefield. They refer to it as a design edition and is exclusive to them in reality it's a GS with the following options thrown in for free

18" Sparkle Silver alloys
Design pack
Clear view pack
Cold weather pack

They had a few colours to chose from but we choose Fuji White with the black leather.

It's currently at halewood but we should get it for Saturday

We went in to order an evoque but the mrs was tempted by the avilibility of the FL2 and the awesome discounts.

Looking good , make sure its got the full size spare alloy/wheel which should be included , did the same deal as you in March at Guy Salmon Stockport , managed to get mudflaps/side mouldings/rubber mats thrown in .

What colour have you gone for? We had a choice of blue in the showroom, black, grey or white. Who did you deal with? Tom has looked after me but can't do the handover on Saturday.

It will be poles apart from the current car, when I get my arse in gear and sell it.

I bought an 11 plate, not new, but with 50,000 mile less on the car.
Dealt with Jack, who didn't really have to do much other than give me the price I was prepared to pay.
They have all been good with me there over the last 2 years. Last time I was looked after like this was when I had a brand new BMW when they were still a luxury marque. Now they're just like a Ford dealership as there's millions of them about. You'll be pleased I'm sure.

The service has been fantastic so far, Mercedes could do with a few lessons. The car has to be better than the merc too, had its fair share of issues too. As much as I love it I can't wait to get shut now, no point keeping it as a garage queen.

Did you trade it in?

No I've kept it for now but the Mrs is insistent it goes soon

No new freelander comes with a full size spare all optional £185.00 I did get one free on my dynamic however but asked for it last minute as a deal clencher  MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

If it has a spare wheel check that its alloy. The steel wheel is limited to 50mph as the wheel nuts are designed for the standard alloy wheels.

The full size spare is noted on the order form and the one in the show room had one in too
