I have one of those and it took me about an hour and a half on the drive as I was taking my time, as long as your prepared to get your hands dirty and have some strength you will be fine. If you have never done anything like this and are not confident to get the nuts and bolts tight enough then I would get a garage to do it as it is potentially dangerous if not done correctly. Having said that it is very difficult to go wrong. Don't think a garage would charge much. Like you said ensure all the bolts, etc are with it as they are all different and individual sizes. The electrics is straight forward as well, just plug and play but if you want parking sensors deactivated when the trailer is attached and you engage reverse then you need to give it to a dealer, which I think costs about £60. Good piece of kit, pleased with mine and it was the first tow bar I ever fitted. You may want to consider painting or powder coating it before you fit it depending on anal you are about that sort of thing. P.s. Bargain at that price! |
