MY 09 to MY 11 Towbar Swap

Hi all.
About to trade up to a 34,000m MY11 GS from my 09 GS with 89000 on the clock.
Differences look very minor on the face of it.
Has anyone swapped tow bars on these models, and did they fit with no problem?
Will do it myself if it is a straightforward swap.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Same Towbar, straight forward swap over, if you have the genuine electrics, your old one will need recoding to the original settings though as the Rear Sensors will be confused.

Thanks. Not genuine LR electrics, so should just swap over (That's the bit that doesn't bother me as I'm a spark) Was the mechanicals I was worried about.

Ta. Was hoping to do it without removing anything at all.The bolts look like they're accessible.

You can give it a try, but there are two plastic panels behind the bumper that need removing, see Fig 14.

Ask the stealer to do it as part of the deal.
I changed from an 07 to an 09 SE and told him that one condition of the deal was to swop the wheels off the 07 which were fitted with General Grabber At's to the 09 and as he did not want a car with off road tyres rims are identical job done.
Second condition to also swop tow bar and electrics to new car which was duly done.

I also enquired with LR's worst Dealer for Customer Service a few years ago regarding the swapping of the Towbar, No, company policy not to fit used parts. There the deal ended.
