As of today I have succeeded completing my 4 year music degree at the Royal College of Music, and practicing 4-5 hours a day combined with teaching 40 students a week has been my life for well over 4 years. ( 5 including prep for audition )...

naturally I'm so happy but I'm literally buzzing but with nothing to do this afternoon, . so I popped out on the bike over to the land rover dealership to see what they had in stock...I really don't know what my next upgrade is going to be as the 2011 FL2, Disco 4 and the 3.6 range rovers are all stunning. I can't decide, won't be rushing into anything before I've fully made my mind up that's for sure.

Huge congrats I know how you feel having spent 4 years on my degree and 1 year on the LPC with 1 year still to do. Its hard work when you have a full time job too. I am done for the summer now and as ever it feels weird without Uni work to do.

Pah! 10 years for me. Undergrad then PhD then a post doc. Got a real job now  * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.

well if you want to be like that, I've been learning the piano since I was 5, I had 10 years basic piano tuition, 10 years on the job experience in the pro music theatre circuit plus 2 years diploma training, 2 years teacher training, then went back for 4 years of Royal College training !! soooo I win!

10 years is easy if you don't have to hold down a full time job at the same time

Sad bit is when I put BSc on my CV the jobs dried up.
No one wants an over qualified sparky.
Interviewers believe that either you won't get your hands dirty, or your after the managers job (or theirs).
