I was doing a search on ownerinfo.landrover.com under the accessories section for the freelander 2 and came across the "Telephone Kit - lo-line" ref LR003995 which looks like a Bluetooth accessory kit to me.

Maybe worth prinitng and taking to you dealer.

Chris.

THis might be the LR part for the PTI which cannot be fitted on lower than XS spec. Cannot find what my PTI part nr was.
If ordering on a GS make sure itţs not the PTI.
Anzwaz the dealer will not order if cannot fit it.

Just wonder what the difference is with a "Lo-Line" kit and a "Hi-Line" kit if it's not for lower spec cars.

But I am sure your right.

Chris,

It's not actual a low spec and higher spec.
It's just that unless you have a LR with Alpine cd-radio you cannot retrofitt a PTI. This LR decided is the XS. I actually wanted a Romanian S which is a GS, ust the first spec with TR. As things go and dealear earn their money I ended up with a Romanian SE which is actually an XS.
What I meant was no disrespect. Just that PTI can only be retofitted on some spec. If I would have had it my way I would have ended up with a GS with privacy, sunfoof (believe it or not we can use it here) maybe satnav. But as I did not want to wait 4 month I took yhe neext best thing which prooved more expensive.
Anyway the FL2 just does not have low spec. ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENCE MEANT.
Just that some items cannot be fitted on certain specifications. FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

Parrot make a very good PTi system, which if you get it properly installed will mute the radio/cd while you are in a call. It will work with any BT phone without needing any down loads - I had one fitted to my last RRsport by the local Land Rover Dealer. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

It's only that there is a difference in what LR considers as PTI or bluetooh.
Last car I had had a Parrot. Worked great as long the phone was compatible. Just that a LR fitted PTI isabout the same with a LR fitted bluetooth. Over here you cannot fitt a bluetooth unless it's LR approved because than they will say that this is why your electonics are going haywire.
Actually over here you cannot do anything withouht loosing the warranty.
Taking in account that the FL2 is sort of a more complicated PC I understand the fear of LR of electronic improovments.
I have seen on e-bay and other sites bluetooh kits that would have worked beautifully with the FL2 's audio system.
It's just that the PTI if fitted is sort of better and easier to use. Course more expensive. But in my opinion with so much electronics everything you do with the electronics has do be done ith LR / dealer approval.
On the funny part on my last car I had a Parrot but the phone I had at that time did not pair all the time. So we went on Easter holidays to Bulgaria. As things happen on my insurance the only barred country was _ guess Bulgaria- insurance broker fault. Nothing to do while in coustoms. Than the bluetooh started to speak in French saying Wrong connection aso and I started to say that I would have been an idiot to go to Bulgaria with the insurance nvalidated - which of course I was - but finaly I managed to get through. And come back with no problems.
Guess who did my insurance? My brother Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER
