Bearing in mind the reported clutch problems with the manuals, wouldn't he be better with an auto for towing? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

From a long-term caravanner with various 4*4s and "ordinary" cars - don't go for a manual! Autos were made for towing and autos were also made for diesel engines. The combination of automatic diesel Freelander with a caravan brings a warm fuzzy feeling to all except odd farming Yorkies! Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Get the Auto if towing, reversing uphill will soon have the clutch smelling, its to higher gear for intricate reverse manoeuvres. |
