just bought some pirelli scorpion-ice-snow 235-60-r18 which appear to have better grip for similar money. |

Goodyear Wrangler HP is a great tyre on the Freely2 if 235 65R17 - I will have another set next time round. I have found them great tyres in snow - not proper winters of course but as a road biased all rounder I don't think they can be beaten. |

Camskill are doing them for just under £100, luckily I have a tame mechanic that can fit them and do the alignment for me |

Look after your local Tyre shop when you can, Camskill won't fix a puncture for you will they. Andy.

I would if I had a decent independent garage locally. Both local Budget franchises failed to fit my defender tyres because they didn't have the right size of cone for the balancing machine (discovered AFTER all the tyres were removed ) and the local independent tyre fitters scratched the hell out of my newly refurbished alloys on the Volvo putting tyres on. Luckily I managed to stop him before he battered a hammer on weight into the paintwork

Have never been able to understand independent tyre dealers not being properly geared up for doing all types of wheels and tyres, yes the kit is expensive but it does not take that long in getting your investment back and keeping on top of things.

2 wheel drive winter tyres vs 4wd summer tyres. Makes you wonder why we bother really
