Sorry to drag this back up again slightly

I'm going to be ordering tyres this week and was going to go for Goodyear wrangler HP all round - as it's unlikely to be much time off roading will these be an ok all rounder? I'm more concerned with wet weather performance and they need to be ok in the snow

Goodyear Wrangler HP is a great tyre on the Freely2 if 235 65R17 - I will have another set next time round. I have found them great tyres in snow - not proper winters of course but as a road biased all rounder I don't think they can be beaten.

Camskill are doing them for just under £100, luckily I have a tame mechanic that can fit them and do the alignment for me

Look after your local Tyre shop when you can, Camskill won't fix a puncture for you will they. Wink Andy.

I would if I had a decent independent garage locally. Both local Budget franchises failed to fit my defender tyres because they didn't have the right size of cone for the balancing machine (discovered AFTER all the tyres were removed Evil or Very Mad ) and the local independent tyre fitters scratched the hell out of my newly refurbished alloys on the Volvo putting tyres on. Luckily I managed to stop him before he battered a hammer on weight into the paintwork

My mate fits tyres and repairs them, but can't source them any cheaper than most places online. He gets more than enough work out of me to keep afloat haha

Have never been able to understand independent tyre dealers not being properly geared up for doing all types of wheels and tyres, yes the kit is expensive but it does not take that long in getting your investment back and keeping on top of things.

This is my 40th year in the business and yes I am sure it had not been 100% faultless but we do the job right and aim to satisfy our customers. Thumbs Up

We do loads of refurbs on all types of wheels and understand customers don't want bang on weights to undo what's just been repaired. Thumbs Up

I suppose I am lucky with my staff as they treat every wheel as if it were there own. Andy.
