I am in the complete opposite situation to you, I am currently looking for a FL2 and wanting to either trade in or sell my XF Premium Luxury. Mine is the 2.7D, the 3.0D is a much better setup in my opinion. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Totally confused now, had my second test drive today in the XF S 3Litre twin turbo 275 BHP, It is so comfortable and fast, really really impressed, Jaguar offered me 13k for mine : 2014 Audi A4 Avant - Dont like it !

My dad has an XF 3.0 S diesel and it is just epic. We fitted a DTUK tuning box to it and she is now pushing 325bhp and I think 700Nm + torque.

Just out of interest did you complain to your local main dealer Customer Service or the main head office Customer Service.

I have a similar issue with my FL2 08 HST.

I bought it 18 months ago and started experiencing issues after about 5 months. The garage I bought it from (not a main dealer) replaced the PS Pump and everything seemed fine, until about a month ago. The same whining noise is now back and with a vengeance.
I took it to the main dealer today to check it out as they have a 1 year warranty on genuine parts. Only to be told that it is not the Pump it is the Rack and I had to pay £75 for them to tell me that.
A new rack is going to cost me £1000 +

Any help or advice as to how I get around paying for this would be great
