doubt if a 57 plate GS will be compatible with iPhone/bluetooth, but I'm sure someone with one will be along to let you know.

sorry you had to give up your Porsche for a humble Freelander Laughing

Previous car was a 07 XS which worked fine with iPhone 5. Might need to ensure car's phone software is up to date if it's not been near a dealer recently. 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

Bluetooth will be compatible if you have it, although to play music you need the 3mm jack connection.

Ive had 2 GS models including my current one.

the standard head unit is a basic single disc analogue radio unit. It has an aux option but you need a 3.5mm lead to plug in and IMO the socket is poor quality and can cause problems to the feed.

I have fitted a parrot 9200i bluetooth system and can play from a multitude of sources through it.

hope this helps.

Thanks for your help. I picked my FL2 up yesterday drove back from Cumbria to the Midlands and what a fantastic drive. Couldn't really fault anything except the aux connection. This I found to be a little bit loose and worn.

So now been looking at either fixing this ( I've seen the post on here regarding the ford part)or a new head unit.
Reading different things though this does not seem a straight forward option with things like sensors and stuff not working correctly after the change. I have considered pioneer app radio 4 this was my first choice or maybe a simple Sony or jvc double din unit with all the Bluetooth and hands free stuff.

Has anyone done any of these, any issues or problems any photos of different installations

Thanks in advance

D
