Boot divider for dog

Hi
I would like to split my boot so that I have the dog on one side and "stuff" the other side. Dog stays safe and stuff doesn't get eaten!

I gave found the divider for around £150 on ebay but I then need to buy the full size guard for it to attach too. This item seems to be around £200. Seems expensive all in! Anyone got any cheaper ways of doing this that have same end result?

Thoughts appreciated.

I Have a dog cage with a devider, Dog has the bigger half and all the stuff I usually carry goes in the other half.

For going the Tip etc I lift the base of the back seats and use a dog Hammock betweeb the front and rear head rests to keep any damage and mess off the seats HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★

With out Nit Picking they are called both depending on were and what manufacturer you buy them from. People us the word crate as it sounds less offensive and cruel. HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★

Thanks for answers so far.

If I get a crate / cage does anyone know of a model / supplier that does one that is pretty much half the freelander boot? Seems that many cars have one that should fit perfectly but I can't see a fl version!

For the person that replied that they have the divider and guard. Did you get the official and expensive LR ones or find an alternative?

Ta

Thanks so much for that. I'm ideally looking for either a boot divider (and guard) or sloped crate. Either way I only want to grant dog half the space!

This is our one - sloping both sides and takes a large Cocker Spaniel. Fits nice and snug with the seat back up and no need to remove the load space cover either. Takes up just 50% of the load space. If the wife uses the FL for food shopping she just loads the stuff either side and also inside the crate. Obviously, that's without the dog!

Trans K9 do a purpose built kennel for the boot of a freelander. I have just purchased one and it's fantastic and easily fits two labs and has a divider.

Photos in my gallery.
