Just joined a few days ago. Picking up my first FL2 on Saturday! Looking for a new dog cage for the boot, would anyone be able to recommend a good brand/style? Not looking to spend over £100

If you do go for one, save a bit of cash and drive over and pick it, we drove up one Sunday morning from Teesside, they are over at Castle Douglas, really nice people

We got a cheaply one from local pets r us type store. Two doors, folds flat, easy to move from car to house or other car. It takes up just over half the boot. Only £15 it was on offer but I think they are always

Harrim51 - Did you need to get an angled front? Or can the boot take a square cage?

No angle, it's oblong, I have two short bungies hooked onto the eye on the back of the seat and just hook them to the side. It comes up about six inches into the window line. We have a "cockerpoo" so she can turn and see out.
In my D3 we had a LR guard, as we had two big muts.
The shop let me take two out to the car and see witch fitted both car and Maisie best.

We went for the travall type, a good quality but a little fiddly to fit.
It came in around £120 but is worth it.

This is the one we use - it has a sloping front and rear and just fits snugly in the rear without taking the boot cover out. We have a medium size cocker spaniel and there's plenty of room but we have had her plus a larger one in there for short trips. Plenty of room either side in the boot too for bits 'n' bobs and when the missus goes food shopping, she just loads the shopping into the crate so there's no need to remove it.

Got this in the end, only £24, does the job, pretty good quality and no sharp edges, the pup is happy to jump straight in and out.
