In Romania at least drivers will flash their lights if there is a mobile radar trap nearby. Same applies for Bulgaria but I have noticed the same in Germany. The answer is to raise the hand.

In Norway it is illegal to flash lights, wave or use any other form of signalling to warn of mobile radar traps or any other police activity ahead. It used to be quite common here but due to the chance of a fine, very few drivers will help others these days. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. In Romani if you are involved in an accident you have to notify the police immediatey. If there are nio casualities you can go to the nearest police branch but if peole got hurt you must stay where you are and wait for the police to come.

Same rule in the UK, and in Holland, but nobody pays any attention in Holland and calls the police anyway. In Holland, you must carry a warning triangle in case of breakdown, your licence, insurance and registration documents at all times. If you are caught speedinga nd are a foriegner they will take you to the nearest cash machine for you to pay your extremely high fine (The same applies in Belgium and France if I am not mistaken. Driving even a few kms over the speed limit in Holland can result in a fine. After corrections a 3 km/h overspeed will give you a 14 (?) Euro fine. |

In Romania if you drive with up to 9 Km over the lawfull speed you only get a warning. 10 Km over you get a ticket. 50 Km over they take your licence.

The quickest I've seen my fuel guage drop is when I would relatively regurlarly hit maximum velocity according to GPS of 255 km/h (158 mph) in the A3 Turbo......and just as i'd think I was the fatest person on the road my friend would come past me at that speed plus another 20-30 km/h with his girlfriend waving at me from the passenger seat of his S8 |

They have some even more obscure signs than those.....but over time you become oblivious to them and ignore the oddness that is the Japanese. |
