England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Baltic Blue
newbie

Hi all, bought a freelander2 last week. V pleased with it,57 reg..anyone able to. give any tips as to how to get mpg up?! 31 at mo..though more than plsd with it..in baltic blue

31 isn't terrible for a weeks use. What's the average mph for the consumption?

Glad you're pleased,

Turn the air con off, bottom right of centre console underneath the temp gauge there is an 'econ / off ' button, if there is nothing lit, it is in full air con and climate mode, if you push once it'll have an orange light on the left hand side which turns the air con off, push it again and it turns the whole lot off. I usually pump tyres up to about 3psi above the recommended 32psi, hardly use more than 1/4 throttle unless needed, Its a heavy car so will coast a bit further than most small cars do so you might be able to lift off earlier, not sure about that one though.
