Don't you believe it! An acquaintance of mine used to deal in ex-Motability Vauxhall Astra's......the mechanical condition that the majority came in after 3 years would make your hair curl!! I suppose the mindset is that when you get a free car every 36 months that isn't your problem if it breaks down, you tend not to look after it properly. Top tip of the day: Never, EVER assume anything. Get underneath it and check it thoroughly. Foraging near Gaydon....

So should have a few scrapes from car parks, clutch will have been smelling a few times, third gear at 70 regularly each week, not so bad then
