I wonder what the real world range would be like. It could be useful if sat in the car in gridlocked traffic. You could send it up and fly further down the road to see what's happening. I suspect the fuzz wouldn't be too happy if it was hovering above an accident scene though LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

CAA now clamping down on use of these things. As soon as you bolt a camera on it becomes a 'Surveillance' aircraft and the rules can become pretty tight. Permission required from CAA to fly if within a congested area. i.e city/town or near pedestrians/vehicles etc. A few people have been prosecuted recently.

i read that they were required to have a permit or something like qualifications if you were flying for work, but not for fun

it's true about needing a license to fly if you are using them professionally - ironically any old plonker can fly one of these recreationally apparently - may even get one myself!! |

Not so long ago the local neighbourhood watch reported a couple of scrotes in an open topped car flying one of these things over properties in the bottom of Shibden. I welcome the day I see one over my place , I've got some high velocity 36gm # 7 shells from years ago when I dabbled in FITASC clays! should shred the thing very nicely 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
