MY13 Halogon Light upgrade - any suggestions

I have a MY13 with Halogens, I suspect they are Projector.
They seem ok - ish, and have Philips HB3 LL bulbs, and the light
is too yellow for me.

any ideas on a good bulb replacement, or will LR sell me some Xenon units to self fit..

Osram Nightbreakers. The only problem with these though is their 'life'. We had one fail after just 6 months use on one of our two MY13's.

Don't bother with after market hid upgrade kits. The filaments in the bulb will be the wrong shape or size or wrongly placed to give the optimum light pattern. Currently Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited seem to be the most favoured on this forum but the other big named manufacturers probably do a bulb that is similarly specified. I don't bother with bulbs from unnamed chinese manufacturers, their poor quality control will also mean that there is a higher probability of the filament being in the wrong place or wrong size.

agreed, the nightbreakers are pretty good, I had them in my 60 plate XS.
However, the standard Philips Long life bulbs (HB3's) in my MY13
which I believe has projectors ( DRL's and LED strip)and uses a single bulb for HIgh / low beam
was at least as good as the nightbreakers.

Am looking on a well know auction site at getting some MY13 Xenons with the DRL's as an upgrade

Whatever you do please don't buy aftermarket HID Xenon.
.
I went that way and regretted it. After market HID Xenon bulbs have the 'burn' spot in the wrong place for OE halogen reflectors , I ended up dazzling oncoming drivers with a grainy pencil beam.
.
Nightbreaker unlimited are for me, very happy with them.
.
Kind regards from Fred.
.
Edit, My phone was showing the earlier post by BossBob which I was adding to. Whatever, knowing all the other world members I just hope I can stop somebody repeating my mistake on trying the aftermarket HID. 2010GS Auto ex Celeb, Santorini Black, 2011 facelift , spoiler, spats, mudflaps, LED footwell lamps, Witter detach,
