I have always understood this to be due to your car being recovered, it it likely to be accident damaged/written off/failed mechanically/all three - either way is likely to be off the road for some time (and possibly permanently).

That makes sense. The driver said it was a LR contract stipulation. |

I also understand that it is illegal to show two Number Plates to the rear. Also should should the vehicle be flashed by a speed camera, you could get the NIP instead of the AA vehicle. |

I am told it drives ANPR cameras crazy and sets up errant codes. 2012 GS Converted-

I must try to get the ANPR camera to look at two number plates to see what happens? It often picks up the ID number on keep left bollards but just comes up unknown. |
