It works on my MY13 XS by the main volume dial or the steering wheel + / - when in use, and in 'system setup' under 'parking volume'

There is a minimum preset volume level so although you can turn it off in effect, the next time you use it, it will default to the minimum preset or a lot louder if that was your level.

From what I gather it only works from MY13 and XS and above

No set up button on the dash on mine, I tried the menu button and there's nothing in there for the parking sensor volume.

As I said, it is for XS and upwards, the GS does not have the infotainment module.

On my 07 xs the parking sensors are incredibly loud, there are two 'alarm' looking units located behind the centre console which the volume cannot be adjusted, the only way to reduce the volume of the sound would be to muffle the 'alarms' somehow.

I've just put up with it tbh.
