Retrofit 2013 console/dash in 2011 freelander

Hi

Assuming for a minute I can get my hand on a written off 2013 fl2, do you think it would be possible to retrofit the 2013 dash into my 2011?

Remembering the stereo is different, and importantly the handbrake is electric and lastly the off-road turn dial is changed with buttons

Has this been done before, how difficult is it?!

Thanks, Luke 2011 black FL2

Hi!

I don't think it's possible. There are too many differences and SDD software will not recognize it when you will try to program it because it will see your VIN doesn't match the dash installed.

Just an opinion, never tried this.

Technically it would be possible but..........................
you would also need to replace most if not all of the electrical hardware and software that drives the various screens on the dashboard. So the expense would probably rule it out or make it cheaper to buy a newer model.
