ok. towing heavy objects has no effect on clutches the end

no they dont they just source a clutch at cost effective prices and hope they are strong enough, over use a clutch at your peril,

And the reason the SD4 only came as auto was because the clutch was well up for the extra power! |

My SD4 auto is very nice to drive but the thing I have noticed (and my wife mentioned it too) is the small amount of throttle movement generally required in most situations. It's almost like you have a pressure switch under your foot rather than a pedal and a slight variation in pressure is all you need to control the car. Has anyone else noticed this? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I agree, once moving, the SD4 seems accelerate effortlessly. A combination of smooth downshifts and bags of available torque make for very easy increases in speed.
