Scotland 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Ipanema Sand
Rear Engine oil seal leaking

Got a small oil leak - apparently is the rear engine oil seal
Thankfully still under warranty - booked in with dealer for next Friday
Just turned 42,000 miles - am hoping is just one of those things and not
sign of things to come ! Freelander 2

the diesel engine's are usually pretty good, I've had quite a few on previous fords, providing you drive them well, they'll go for miles. there was a ford mondeo on ebay a few years back with well over 300,000 on the clock. taxi's use the engine too I was told.

My 2007 GS had a small leak from the rear of the engine which the indy garage merely noted at each annual service. They said it wasn't necessary to do anything if it didn't get worse. It never did Smile
