I think it works if you hold the start/stop button without the clutch/brake pressed, so that the electrics come on, I am not near my car at the moment but I'll have a look and see.

If you reach your destination whilst talking on the phone and turn off the the engine does the call remain hands-free? I assume it does never had chance to find out yet At work

I think it does as long as you do not take the key out. I only hear the disconnecting beep after I take out the key FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER |

It will also work out to about 30m from the car......................... I have to make sure my BT on the phone is switched off when I get out of the RRSport and go into the house or the phone stays paired to the car and the handsfree in the car will answer incoming calls, which isn't very useful! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

As LEE says (thanks again), it works if you hold the start button but don't push down the brake peddal (i.e. Bluetooth connects but engine doesn't start).

Not on mine. If I stop the engine but do not remove the key (radio is on - but I don't know if tis has any bearing) the connection stays on. Are you talking PTI or other kind of bluetooh ? FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER |

I'm talking the PTI supplied as standard on my HSE, I tried this the other week, start engine - blutooth connects, stop engine (and leave key in) radio stays on but blutooth disconnects. Didn't try it with a call in progress though, will do so later. EDIT - Tried it now, phone disconnects when engine stopped, no call in progress & key still in (radio stays on), phone stays connected in same situation when a call is in progress. Thanks all! |
