Australia 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Whistler White
2.2 alt light on

good morning all

we heard a rattling from the engine bay followed by the Alt light coming on, has anybody got an idea what it might be. we left the car and have gone to work.so need to have a look tonight when i get home. has anybody got the belt routing for the 2.2 engine.

Maybe the tensioner has come loose/collapsed Exclamation

just had a look the Alt drive pulley has broken off the Alt no other damage so new Alt and belt needed.

the drive pulley was rusted badly is there anyway to lube it to stop his happening again
