Hello all, I'm looking at getting a roof rack for my 2009 FL2 (for the purpose of carrying a roof box) but I do not have roofbars. Therefore I need a roof rack that fits another way (if that's possible) Any suggestions? I was toying with the idea of getting the aftermarket roof rails but I don't really need them to be that permanent and it'll double the cost as I'll still need the roof bars to fit to them. Of course if that's the only way of doing it. That what I'll do.

Thanks for this thread. Been putting off getting this done due to the cost of getting the rails put on, holes drilled etc. I had no idea you could get feet that didn't need rails. |

Brilliant pab. Thanks so much. That's exactly what I needed to know. Dunkley that looks awsome in fact I think it looks better than the factory bars. More rugged as a LR should. That's spurred me on to do it. |

I do also believe that prorack now do an adapter kit which fits into the mounting points for the roof rails, although I think it's meant for a more permanent fixing as you have to drill holes in the plastic trim. |

Does anyone know if it's definitely ok to use the older footpack 750 instead of the newer 745? It's all about saving £££ |

That's true, but only for non-sunroof models only as the inner "arch" of the brackets will foul the opening roof. I have pulled the fuse on mine as the roof box is too close for comfort!
