Works as long as you never give out your phone number and make sure that you tick/untick (read the form carefully, some are opt in, some are opt out) preferences whenever you fill in any form. The moment you miss one, you run the risk of getting more calls. |

The preference services for phone and mail seem to work well as I have been signed up to them for years. Just make sure you always tick or untick the box as appropriate when filling in any forms.

Been on TPS for years and always will be, it won't stop illegal calls but its mostly worked for me. If a company calls me the conversation doesn't progress until I have their company name, even if they have to spell it to me several times, I then notify them I'm on the TPS system, they shouldn't be calling me and can they remove me from their database please, I'll be reporting you to the TPS and OSI (I think it is), thanks and goodbye.

Gentlemen, there is an easier way to stop the calls - or at least enjoy them.

Do not put your number on any online forms, if you have, always put a false number in, if it insists you enter one to get you through to the next section, you can always speak to the company afterwards to get them to change the details if you need to, I use an 01423 360*** number, works well for me. |

Works for me too, would blasting an air horn down the phone be legal?. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock. It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak. Stop global winging. |

There was a guy on the news recently that setup a premium rate phone line into his home and gave that number out, he was actually making money from the calls.
