Poor connection on the battery or starter motor

As my Land Rover dealer had no idea what was wrong, I fitted a starter solenoid repair kit which cost £16.50. It did the trick. Probably worth replacing the battery earth strap, and fitting an extra strap from the battery negative terminal to the gearbox or starter motor.
