Tow bar query

I'm getting a tow bar fitted to the wife's Freelander.
It's a 2010 GS model fitted with rear parking sensors.
Has anyone had a problem with the tow bar interfering with the sensors?
The Salesman is plugging the detachable bar (obviously more expensive option)
The tow bar is only going to be used for a 3-4 bike carrier. 110 Station Wagon

It shouldn't interfere with the sensors even if you don't detach it, I assume that a Light Board will be used, if the LR dedicated Electrics are being used, they will need enabling, as soon as you plug in the light Board it will disable your Rear Sensors and Rear Fogs.

Hello Dave
I have factory rear sensors and a factory tow bar, and have no problems. I think I read somewhere the sensors actually allow for the tow bar. Anyway - No problems.

The sensors don't actually allow for the tow bar. They just don't see it. It is dead central in a small "dead" zone between the spread of the two nearest sensors. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
