managed to get a stone chip on the windscreen of the MX5 yesterday.

I suppose its visibility after repair depends on how quickly you got it done before dirt was allowed to get into the crack which would be hard to remove? |

i have some little discs that are clear that i stuck on, got given them the first time round |

I've had several stone chips repaired over the years on various Landrovers including my Freelanders. I have used the Free repairers you see in supermarket car parks but latterly contacted my Insurance company who

I have had three done they have all been fine,if you leave it it may end up cracking the glass.It will not cost anything if you are fully comp you can still see it but you soon take no notice of it. |

Over here in the states, they'll repair chips, but as soon as the crack gets beyond about an inch, done-so; you need to replace it. Though the actual LAWS about replacing them for the yearly vehicle inspections vary from state to state. In Virginia, as long as it's a single crack and not spider-webbed or branched, then it will pass without any problem.
