Hi guys,

i am looking for a picture from a Freelander 2 Facelift model (LED Frontlamps etc..) in barolo black.
The pictures i found in the internet does not reflect this colour very well, it looks almost like the santorini. There are more evoques in this finish than the freel2.

does someone owns one in this colour?

Barolo black is a more solid black where Santorini has metallic flecks in the paint and glistens in the sun.

Try a search for Barolo and look in the members gallery.

I've seen a Barolo black in the metal, it was a dull day & I was disappointed
Had the sun been shining, it mav had looked different? SD4 HSE Lux Orkney Grey,Full size spare tyre,Ugly kid glass.

Mine is a Barolo Black. In the light it will reflect Metallic glitter of purple colour. Quite unique in my point of view. Freelander 2 XS MY 2012, 19" rims, Barolo Black. Privacy glass, spoiler.

Don't know why, LR doesn't have available the Barossa for FL2 and they've discontinued Havana for MY14. I'm not fan of Barolo Yuri

I wanted to order Havana, I am very disappointed that they canceld this nice colour... The Baltic Blue was also nice, but they replaced it with Loire Blue, also nice, but not my taste for a FL2.

If the Barolo does not thrill me, i will choose between ipanema sand, indus silver or orkney grey

If I'm right you are driving an Ipanema in the present. So Okney could be your option and is a very nice color. I also like Loire Blue....

This Zanzibar is crap, sorry, but it looks like diarrhoea. Lapse of taste from the colour designer...
Some colours look better in permanent sunlight, but such a colour in Europe... well...

It is not that i dont like the ipanema, i love it, but maybe I want something different. I hear a lot that silver is complicated when you have to repair scratches and so, and silver could be a bit boring but It suites very well to the freelander 2.

In the end ipanema and orkney are nice and handsome colours...

As said, when the sun is not shining on it, the paint looks like solid black. But once the sun shines on the car, it has a red/bronze tint to it. Yes, from my point of view if you are going change, the exterior color it's part of that feeling... I agree with you! And it's true that some coulors are better for sunny countries like Spain or Mexico. I've enjoy my previous FL2 in Tambora, but I'm completely in love with my new Havana. Personally the best color that I've had Havana, my favorite color:

The only think I hate about the black is swirl marks. In all the years I had Stornaway Grey it never showed up any swirl marks. But this one is a nightmare.

I have got rid of the majority but it doesn't take much to get more.
